"Let them eat cake!" - And they did...

We held a fundraising Tea Party today in respect of The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation which raised £276.95 in total. It was a really successful afternoon with both of us acting as auctioneers and salesmen for the raffle and lucky dip, although perhaps it's best that neither of us consider giving up the day jobs.



The Roy Castle Lung Foundation arranged for a Lung Cancer Nurse, Lynn Cherett, to attend and give a short presentation on the organisation and their work in the field. This presentation was extremely informative and neither of us were aware of how poorly funded lung cancer care is in this country.



We had a great time and would like to thank everyone that helped with organising, cake making/eating (thanks Mary/Grandma!) and tea making/drinking. It was a real team effort!
